As the complaint alleges, Evans sued PT Djarum after a corporate event took place in Indonesia to promote the Grand Indonesia, which PT Djarum owns according to Evans and various articles in The Jakarta Post and other online news websites. The complaint by Evans claims he was not properly compensated in the manner in which had been promised. Evans was hired to provide entertainment at an event held at Hotel Mulia in 2006 in Jakarta.
